Caesars Interactive Re-Launches the Online Casino With NYX
The market leading, content and technology developer and supplier for lotteries, casinos and gaming operators across the globe, NYX Gaming, announced on Tuesday, the 21st of June 2016 that they have entered into an agreement with Caesars Interactive Entertainment, Inc. (CIE) to extend their partnership. The news comes in the wake of Caesars making the decision to relaunch their online casino brand, CaesarsCasino.com, for the New Jersey Market. It has been said that the online casino brand will be using NYX’s market leading Open Platform System (OPS) for their venture in New Jersey.
The award-winning NYX Open Platform System will allow customers of CaesarsCasino.com to access a large and growing portfolio of award winning games both on the traditional desktop platform and the more popular mobile platform; the games will be supplied through NYX and also their extensive third-party content supplier network. NYX also promises to elevate Caesar’s marketing services and loyalty programs with their OPS.
The terms of the agreement between the gambling giant and the technology and content supplier include several options that have the potential further deepen the strategic relationship, the two companies have developed but that will be disclosed with the passage of time, if CIE decides to expand their online services into other regulated markets in the USA or if their strategy for the state of New Jersey itself.
Kevin Vonasek, NYX’s Chief Product Officer Americas, said, “This is an immense opportunity for NYX and we are thrilled that CIE has chosen to further our partnership.”
He added, “CIE is absolutely a key partner for NYX as we continue to execute our US strategy in anticipation of future casino iGaming expansion beyond New Jersey, Delaware and Nevada.
This agreement is a testament to both the quality and flexibility of our platform and the exceptional working relationship we've enjoyed with CIE to date.”
Marco Ceccarelli, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for CIE also commented on the partnership and said, “CaesarsCasino is excited to be supported by an award-winning and deeply-functional platform in NYX’s OPS. The platform and games will undoubtedly be catalysts for future growth in New Jersey.”
Timing of the Launch
The online casino market in New Jersey has been performing exceptionally well in recent month. The casinos have enjoyed growing collections from their online ventures month over month, until in April 2016, when the collective gaming revenues for online casinos in the state broke all records for monthly revenues and reporting a staggering USD 17 million in profits. While the month of May failed to break any records, the online casinos still reported revenues over USD 16.5 million, which represented a 32.6 per cent year over year growth. However, the brick and mortar casinos failed to mirror this success; in May 2016, they reported a collective year over year loss of 0.6 percent. Given the strength and profitability of the online market at the moment, it would make sense that CIE would want to try and carve out a bigger slice of the profits for themselves.
The deal between CIE and NYX also follows the recent launch of NYX’s casino content with CaesarsCasino.com that happened in September 2015; the launch further reinforces the strategy NYX has in place to try and grow its international profile as the leader in digital gaming solutions.
